Skiing Beaver Creek
One of the friendliest big mountains in Colorado — with more bite than its reputation lets on.
The reputation, earned
Beaver Creek is known for immaculate grooming and approachable, family-friendly terrain, and it's on the Epic Pass. The base village feeds you right onto the lifts, heated walkways and all — a small thing that matters a lot in ski boots.
More than beginner runs
Past the cruisers there's genuine expert terrain: Grouse Mountain's bumps and steeps, and Birds of Prey — the pitch that hosts the annual men's World Cup downhill. McCoy Park, up top, adds gentler, higher-elevation terrain. There's a version of a day here for every level.
One mountain, three ways on
You can get onto the mountain from Beaver Creek Village, Bachelor Gulch, or Arrowhead — handy to know when you're deciding where to stay or where to land.
